We scour the interwebs for the coolest movie news and more so you don’t have to …

Go Peeta! The odds were definitely in Josh Hutcherson’s favor as the “Hunger Games” star has been named CinemaCon’s Breakthrough Performer of the Year, according to The Wrap. “Titanic” director James Cameron has a knack for silly acceptance speeches, goofy pictures and lots and lots of divorces from wives. Screen Junkies gives homage to the King of the World with nine instances of the filmmaker being just plain ridiculous.

Sometimes we can’t just all get along. Moviefone gets in the ring with Michael Bay vs. Megan Fox, David O. Russell vs. Lily Tomlin (and George Clooney), David Fincher vs. Jake Gyllenhaal and other director-actor Hollywood feuds. We can practically hear him singing “What Have I Done?” already. When Titanic 3-D premiered in London on Tuesday, one of the epic blockbuster’s biggest stars was conspicuously absent. Kate Winslet was there. So was James Cameron, who just surfaced from a historic dive of almost 36,000 feet to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean’s Mariana Trench. But no Leonardo DiCaprio? According to a source close to the actor, DiCaprio could not attend the premiere because he’s been in Lousiana filming Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained. Chloe Moretz is in negotiations to star in Carrie, the latest take on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King.

MGM is behind the movie and with the high-pedigree of Kimberly Pierce (Boys Don’t Cry) in the director’s chair and a script by playwright Roberto Aquirre-Sacasa, the moviemakers are hoping to make an elevated thriller that can stand next to the Brian De Palma 1976 classic. “Never been so happy in my life!

On the way to his Tuesday night appearance on The Tonight Show, one of Mitt Romney’s aides told the Republican candidate not to try to be funny during his interview. Mission accomplished. The former Massachusetts governor and near-lock to be the Gop nominee for President this year smiled and waltzed through his interview with Jay Leno unscathed, eschewing personal anecdotes to pitch his various policy proposals. He was asked about Rick Santorum’s blow up.

Robert Rodriguez Says ‘Sin City 2′ Will Film This Summer

We’ve heard him say it a million times in the past but Robert Rodriguez has once again claimed that the extremely long-gestating Sin City 2 will begin production this summer. The Austin filmmaker was speaking at the South by Southwest festival on Tuesday and was talkative but refused to confirm which of the large original cast would be returning. However he did reveal that he had held talks already with actors for Sin City 2 and also Machete Kills, adding that casting for both movies will be “of the same caliber and eclecticism” as their respective originals.

Rodriguez says he will shoot Machete Kills, a sequel to his 2009 Grindhouse B-movie actioner in April, before moving on to Sin City 2 in the summer. This backs up Frank Miller’s comments back in October that the Sin City sequel would finally get made this year.
